Mindful Habits for the Family

Don’t take on all the Conscious duties alone — get the whole family involved! A gold star for every Conscious act could equal a sweet reward for the kids.

Conserve electricity.

Unplug for an hour every once in a while. Turn off the lights. Power down your devices and chargers. Enjoy candlelit dinner conversation.

Be Conscious about water use.

Once you wet your toothbrush, turn off the tap until you rinse. Only flush when it’s necessary, and wash your clothes in cold water whenever possible. Did you know the vast majority of energy used by your washing machine goes to heating the water?

Avoid excess garbage.

Shop green. Bring your own bags. Ditch the plastic or use paper for produce. Switch to reusable water bottles and cutlery — at home and at the office.
